Yoga has me sore

I've had Yoga on my to-do list for the last several months, for many reasons (no, that image is not me!):
1) it's one of the best things for core strength and flexibility, both things that will alleviate my lower back soreness and intermittent herniations/flare-ups
2) a one-hour session always leaves me extremely relaxed; often I feel as if i just had a combo massage/chiropractic adjustment, with a boost in mental clarity to boot!
3) my gym membership includes weekend yoga on saturday and sunday for no additional charge
I finally made it in yesterday for the 10:30am session, and the instructor, Jen, was fantastic. Like all good instructors, she repeatedly made novices (aka 'me') feel incredibly comfortable, reminding everyone to just do what they could, and if you got too shaky, to just get into a comfortable position of your own choice.
I found myself laughing at how ridiculous some of the poses were for someone as uncoordinated as myself, but the end result was fantastic.
In fact, I went straight to my chiropractor, and Amy said (without being prodded about my yoga session) that it was the most relaxed she'd ever seen me, and in fact, was one of the bes adjustments she had with anyone in a long time -- the proof's in the pudding!
Finally, I'm always amazed at how tiring a Yoga session can be -- I was drenched in sweat, and today (a day later), I'm incredibly sore, in a very good way. I'm re-converted -- I look forward to making it part of my weekly routine.
