Online Resources (Easy Marathons)

What is the Easiest Marathon in the World?
I admit it. I set out to run one of the easier marathons when I chose San Diego's. However, I didn't do enough research, because despite being run along the coast, it actually had some fairly difficult hills. Rumor has it that the California International Marathon is one of the World's easiest marathons, so check it out. Of course, other courses claim to be even easier. I found this website by performing a search on Google, that claims that Tucson is the title holder!

Great Websites for Running Tips
  • Runner's World - Great magazine that also sports a fantastic website, full of tips, articles and wellness advice.
  • Marathon Guide - My brother sent me to this site, and it rocks! Has a comprehensive list of marathons, as well as course reviews by runners. You must check this one out.
  • Hal Higdon - Not only does this site offer tons of great advice, but you can also sign up for his online marathon training schedule. It sends you reminders about how far you should run each day, and week, and offers up great advice along the way. I did this when I trained for my marathon.
  • Amazon.com - Not only will you find all the running books you'd ever need here, but you can also find heart rate monitors, running apparel and shoes, and more -- and, if you purchase through these links from my Website, I get paid referrals, which helps to offset the cost of this Website. So, thank you in advance :-)
  • First Time Marathoners - Great site with a real voice -- someone who's actually done it!

Want to Learn How to Build a Website
I know that you are more interested in running than coding XHTML, but if you are ever so inclined to learn more about the Internet, I highly recommend the Introduction to Web Publishing course that you can take via the Internet through the University of Washington.
